I am an adventurer who is on the journey of a lifetime. After retiring early from a career as a public school teacher, I started a construction contracting company that built new log homes all around Michigan. When the recession ended that, I had a chance to try de-constructing old abandoned barns and recycling the vintage materials. I hand-crafted log and timber frame cabins and furniture from reclaimed wood and sold them on eBay and Craigslist.
After 43 years on the same property, my wife, Kaye, and I finally sold the place, upgraded our RV and took off to explore the country, fueled by a hunger for adventure and a desire to experience the sights and sounds – and the people – of new places, out-of-the-way places, faraway places, places we haven’t been to before. We have visited 49 of the 50 states… so far. Don’t know when we will get to Hawaii.
We are seeing new sights and meeting new people everywhere we go… and writing about them here. Thanks for following!
I am happy for You that You know how to enjoy LIFE.
